Over two decades ago I unknowingly embarked on a personal healing and development journey which led to many different experiences (some mystical) of healing. What I have come to understand is that there are many times in our life where we desperately follow the desire for outward guidance, support and connection and that most of the time we intuitively find ourselves exactly where we need to be.

In all of my experiences so far, what I have found to be underlyingly helpful across all appreciations is that when I have been sitting with a healer or helper, and I feel that they are present, accepting, genuine and empathic. I have felt safe and contained and able to notice myself in what feels like a gentle warm light and sometimes that has been enough to help me see my path again. Sometimes we need that kind of presence and support to reconnect to those parts of ourselves. For me, healing continues to be a journey of noticing and regathering my lost and abandoned parts and learning how to compassionately bring them back into the gentle warm light.

I am an empathic and non-judgmental therapist who has many years of training with all walks of life in a range of different settings spanning across government & non-government organizations, local health districts, private practice and higher education and training at university level through post-graduate sessional academic work.

I am a dedicated and supportive practitioner who truly appreciates the deep healing power of companionship and meaning making through non-directive, person-centered, sensorimotor & trauma informed care. I regularly participate in individual and group supervision in support of the work that I do with my clients, as part of my self-care and to meet the requirements of my governing body.

I continue a daily contemplative practice where the magic and celebration of everyday ritual and ceremony are a part of my world, and I am proud to share that I am also a therapist in therapy. I also love living by the sea where I like to find shells and sea glass. I also find great joy (and sometimes suffering) in early mornings, surfing and ocean swimming with my partner and spending time with our teenaged children.
